Blogger Neuf Francs posts about Mark Kurlansky's, Salt: A World History - which made the NY Times bestseller list. Kurlansky writes an interesting biography of the mineral and it's impact on our civilization. Who knew it was such a commodity and at times currency, as Roman soldiers were once paid in salt? It sounds like an intriguing story.
