"Super" Fat Tsunami Tuesday Hangover...

Yesterday was not an ordinary Tuesday... The presidential primaries - 'Super Tuesday', positioned McCain as the clear Republican front-runner, while a split decision in the Democratic race was led by a margin in favor of Clinton over Obama. Meanwhile...

Were people running from their election booths to Mardi Gras celebrations, with weariness of the trifecta of US markets down across the board 3%? With the Dow Jones down 2.92%, S&P down 3.19% and the Nasdaq down 3.08%, pundits deamed it 'Tsunami Tuesday' and hangovers are sharp with most important question of the day...

What is in a hurricane?

Hurricane- 2 oz light rum- 2 oz dark rum- 2 oz passion fruit juice- 1 oz orange juice- 1/2 oz fresh lime juice- 1 tbsp simple syrup- 1 tbsp grenadine- Shake all the ingredients in a cocktail shaker with ice and strain into a hurricane glass. Garnish with a cherry and an orange slice.

For the history buffs, the Hurricane was invented during the World War II at Pat O'Brien's bar in New Orleans and was named after the shape of a hurricane lamp. Pat O'Briens bar is still open today in New Orleans' famous French Quarter and sells their original Hurricane cocktail mix at the bar.

As they say on Bourbon Street. "Laissez Les Bon Temps Roulez" Let the Good Times Roll.
