This trend has definitely caught my eye. How could it not? Metallic tones sparkle and shine, not to mention always make you feel festive! A hint of metallic in your wardrobe, is definitely a must this fall.

Camouflage Style

Camo style on the blog today. This trend has been hitting the streets since last year, and I love how these ladies are styling it...casual and semi-preppy. The favorite pairings here are definitely a jean jacket or chambray shirt and black heels. I also think slim camo pants work well with chunky sweaters and booties (in any shade), or a little pop of neon. Here are a few camo items I couldn't resist.

Fall Weddings with Rent the Runway

It's such a beautiful time of year for weddings. We have our final wedding celebration this year on Saturday in NY. In talking with friends, we all commented on how expensive it can be to have a half-dozen or more weddings to attend per year. I think Rent the Runway has amazing options, in fact I have spotted a few dresses I own myself. (The Camilla dress on the right in green, I own and have worn to a destination wedding, I love this dress, it is very comfortable) For the upcoming season, I have picked my favorites.

All Things Purple

The other day I was browsing inspiration over on Daily Crushes,  my lovely nieces blog. And I spotted this jacket (photo). I can only see a fraction of it, but it reminds of that one lone overused crayon in my crayola box. It was the color 'thistle'. I was immediately coveting this coat and necklace, so obviously I had to hunt for all things on the spectrum of purple, from bright to pastel. Blue Jean Baby...

I have to admit, nothing makes me happier than heading into a season where jeans become my staple again. It may be 'off the charts' warm today for early September, but I already have my eye on a few pairs. Usually this means, a big pile gets donated from years previous.

I'm lucky that I get to dress casual most non-meeting days in our office. We're low key over here in Wicker Park. But, having to leap from my desk at 6pm without time to spare for a wardrobe change before evening work events or date night with my husband is a shuffle.
