Table 8 NYC...

A hop skip away from my doorstep is the Cooper Square Hotel with amazing rooftop views. And buzzy restaurant newcomer, Table 8 opens its doors tonight inside the 21 store tower. Govind Armstrong has brought his famed chefness from Los Angeles and Miami, to NYC, making this one of the best new restaurant additions. The dining room is leather-clad with floor to ceiling glass and a large square bar that quenches the people watching fix. Govind's preview menu that set all apps in the the $9-12 range and entrees $14-29 (recession friendly) and signature dishes include a bone in skate with steamed cockles, grilled baby chicken with shortrib hash, and seared cana de cabra with arugula.
