Sarah and I set out to satisfy our weekly margarita cravings and happened upon a Lower East Side gem. Barrio Chino, on Orchard and Broome is everything that a dressed up taco joint should be. Elegant, simply prepared food. Fresh, inventive tequila drinks, and dressed down, seasoned servers. We started with a bowl of their homeade guacamole which was fresh, perfectly salted and had a hint of spicy lime. I moved on to the Camarones Borrachos-- shrimp cooked in tequila and mole sauce served with rice and beans, while Sarah sampled the taco platters (only 8$ for 3 tacos!). To top off our satisfying meal we ordered up 2 freshly squeezed grapefruit margaritas. The perfect cocktail for the perfect girls night out. xo Anna
