Hello, I'm Simone from The Bottom of the Ironing Basket. Sarah very kindly invited me to be a guest blogger over here at Walking Around and I happily agreed, especially when she said I could write about anything I liked!
My blog is mostly about the things in my life and around the world that inspire me and so I thought I would share some of my favourite things with you.
1. Glamorous dresses...
2. Flowers...what can I say, they just make me happy! We have had a few sunny days here in London and as far as I am concerned spring is definitely here :)
3. Bed...I love my bed...really love it...love reading, sleeping and just being in it. I also have two little monkeys who are also very fond of it...I dream of a bed to myself where a 4 yr old doesn't literally pry my eyes open and deprive me of much-needed sleep...some day!
4. Paris...happily only a hop, skip and a jump from London...I shall be there 4 weeks today :) The wide boulevards, the chic women, pavement cafes and macaroons...bliss :)
5. Weddings....I have been happily married for almost 12 years but I love anything to do with weddings...
6. Shiny, sparkly things...what a gorgeous dress...
7. Quiet time...I can talk all night long with my girlfriends but I also really appreciate time alone...often either late at night or first thing in the morning...time to plan and just reflect...
8. The perfect home...I change my mind on what exactly this looks like frequently but this beautiful place would do quite nicely...
9. A little wisdom...
10. Chocolate...because it just makes even the most challenging day better...
Happy Wednesday!
