Summer Guide: Music in Chicago...

Just a few favorites that are playing locally this summer. Can't wait to picnic in the park on June 6th with a few friends and hopefully see Florence and Eddie Vedder, lastly I'll cap off the summer with Lollapalooza;)

Florence & the Machines ~ June 18 @ Aragon Ballroom
Low & Glen Hansard ~ June 27 @ Millennium Park*
Eddie Vedder ~ June 28th/29th @ Chicago Theatre
Bon Iver ~ July 24 @ Chicago Theatre
Lollapalooza ~ Aug 5-7th @ Grant Park

*Millennium park concerts are free on Monday evenings.

we have very similar taste in music! lovelove ray. did you ever hear his album green? it came out before trouble, but wasn't widely released.

I love summer in Chicago! Can't wait for the weather to start acting like mid-may. I'm looking forward to Ted Leo at the end of July, at Millennium Park. I can't wait to spend lots of time eating picnics on the grass there.

I found your blog after that meetup at Rockit... glad to have found lots of fun Chicago ladies to follow online!

Seriously great music heading this way! I'm excited to see Iron & Wine and The Head & the Heart! Also going to see Bonnie Prince Billy on Monday, hooray! My husband's old band opened for My Morning Jacket a long time ago- they play shows in Louisville all the time since they're from there so I'm hoping to see them a lot once we move!

Oh I'm so jealous of the line up you have coming to Chicago! I wish these bands would tour more around the southeast!!
