Wildflowers...

With my birthday afternoon soiree being on a garden rooftop in NYC, I am envisioning wildflowers in eclectic vases and containers. My friend Katie has offered to do the lovely arrangements and I made a little inspiration board. It got me to humming an old favorite tune by Tom Petty that reminds me of the jukebox in my favorite college watering hole.

You belong among the wildflowers
You belong in a boat out at sea
Sail away, kill off the hours
You belong somewhere you feel free
Run away, find you a lover
Go away somewhere all bright and new
I have seen no other who compares with you
You belong among the wildflowers
You belong in a boat out at sea
You belong with your love on your arm
You belong somewhere you feel free
Run away, go find a lover
Run away, let your heart be your guide
You deserve the deepest of cover
You belong in that home by and by
You belong among the wildflowers
You belong somewhere close to me
Far away from your trouble and worries
You belong somewhere you feel free

I love the eclectic vase idea. Your party is going to be fabulous! And, that is one of my favorite songs. :)

Hi darling! I hope you enjoyed our trip to the flower market as much as I did and then seeing the finished bouquets on Sunday for your perfect sunday afternoon party. I cannot tell you how much fun I had clipping and arranging on the apartment floor infront of the big windows as Fred watched me fuss and fiddle with each stem...dribbling water everwhere! I just finally put the buckets away this morning and definitely cracked a big smile thinking of the wonderful day we had with our wonderful friends. xx KK
