I love NYC because it's impossible to walk around and not be inspired. I've traveled all over and I'm definitely a city person but there's one certain something (a zsa zsa zsu) that NYC has that no where else has - the energy rising out of the concrete is impossible to avoid. Plus, I really do feel like if you can make it here, you can make it anywhere.

New York City is one of 2 places I feel at home, it's such a world away from where I grew up but feels liek I'm coming home when I visit.

anyway, there's nothing i DON'T love about NYC, but if i had to name a few: the park, the subway, the diverse people, the museums, the entertainment, the food. it's the most exciting, dream-filled place i've ever been. i'd love to move there someday!

I love NY because it was the first place I called home as an adult. I did a lot of growing up there. I made some life-long friends there. I met my husband there. I gave birth to my first child there. My passion for food developed there.

Growing up, my Father and I (sometimes accompanied by other family) would travel from Seattle to New York, where most of our family called home. My Father grew up in Queens. My Grandfather on my mother's side grew up in the Bronx. My other Grandfather spent most of his life driving a taxi in NYC. NYC hold family history and memories for me of family now gone and a childhood of wonder. FAO Schwartz was always a favorite stop on visits, particularly after seeing BIG. merci + xo.

NYC is so amazing because it always feels so alive, no matter what time of day it is and yet it can be so peaceful at the same time too. There is nowhere in the world quite like it and amen to that.
