Playwork Group set out on a creative venture to raise money for PENCIL, a non-profit that works to improve education in NYC's schools. City artists, stylists and designers collaborated to design t-shirts for live auction on ebay. City Winery Benefit Concerts for Haiti...

For four nights this week, City Winery will be having various amazing musical artists perform in effort to raise money for Haiti relief. 100% of funds raised from this benefit will be directed to Doctors Without Borders, Partners in Health and an emergency mobile hospital aid mission the Jewish Renaissance Medical Center.

The Waterkeepers Alliance unveiled their site last week, Dirty Lie - exposing the truths about the destructiveness of coal and it's entire life cycle—from mining to transportation to scrubbing to burning to waste storage. After reading, if you had previously bought into the $40M 'clean coal' campaign, you will quickly be disuaded of that oximoron and realize that everything about the use of coal is inherently dirty. The truth is that coal pollutes our water, communities, forests and mountains, kills wildlife and contributes to climate change, in addition to poisoning our drinking water and our fish with mercury and other toxins.

Ray LaMontagne Tour...
