Live Music This Week...

I miss my guitar, it's been stored away for a few months and I've having withdrawals. It got me to thinking, who's playing in the area this week if you were to see a concert a night, here are my picks:

Tuesday
Snow Patrol

Wednesday
Plain White T's

Thursday
Yeah Yeah Yeahs

Friday
Muse/U2

Saturday
Phoenix

Downtown Coffee Talk...

I miss my morning rituals of living downtown! I've been enjoying the uptown neighborhoods, but this past weekend had an urge to revisit my fave's. Firstly, Jack's in the West Village is a tiny coffee shop perfect for a quick cup of jo and paper rest, also fantastic for people watching. Saturdays is soho surf shop/coffee bar with a relaxed vibe and back patio for lounging, and lastly, McNally Jackson cafe and teahouse is also a literary hub that is peaceful hideout.

Lemons...

An intricate laser cut design by Julene illustrates one of life's famous inspirational quotes. For your bright side days, follow this lovely advice and make lemonade, for your entrepreneurial spirit, charge $1.00 for it on the corner, and for your days where you are feeling not so sunny but on the humorous side, listen to this theory from Forgetting Sarah Marshall. {image via Tea for Joy}

Fall Day...

I feel like lazing today in the autumn sun and curling up on a cozy wool blanket with a book;) {image via Red Otter Shop}

Happy Friday...

Sometimes you just need to throw your head back, jump up and down, scream with laughter and indulge! What could be a better time that birthdays. So excited to spend Sunday with friends and feel lucky. Enjoy the weekend! {image via Lolita, Under a Paper Moon, Inside the Loop}

Transparency Trend...

Real-time ratings and reviews, mapmania, consumer alerts. Trendwatching.com's September briefing is on to changes in behavior and in technology. All signs point towards an 'even more transparent marketplace in the near future, which in turn is taking cues from a more transparent society.' It's important to consider your approach when empowering the social media craze, convenience and interactivity is key, but all experiences might not be of the highest remarks! I think ecommerce, online mapping, twitter, and moderated customer interaction is a good way to start. Either way, brands will be much more accountable, and will also need to invest in the network. Back it up with research and go forward with a plan and an exit strategy to boot!

Sprinkles...

This is an ode to sprinkles! They are a sugary, colorful celebratory treat. {image via Beach Vintage, Little Blog of Happiness and Admiral & Tea}
