Happy Friday, I'm Tiiiired. I blame, the change of season, my allergies and my husband's early meetings this week for being extremely tired this week. Anyone else feeling that? There were so many things that I stumbled on and loved this week...I had to share the top (remember my weekly faves list?). Anyone have great plans for the weekend? I have some shopping to do for upcoming trips, a little cooking, and dinner out with my husband, maybe a rainy day movie. Looking forward to a relaxing one.

{Happy Friday}

Happy Friday! I'm feeling very refreshed this week. I have been up earlier, making breakfast, driving my new car to work (hooray), shedding layers of puffy coats, paying off travel bills, setting up meetings for work and cooking up a storm of healthy protein on the home front. I look forward to a bit of sunshine and warmer weather this weekend. Happy Easter everyone. Enjoy. xo

Hop hop hop. I saw a bunny on my way to work today - a real live person dressed up in a suit standing outside the Peninsula. We laughed as he waved at us driving by. I'm excited that it's the weekend!! I just adore this table - it's decorated in beautiful pastels, adorable

Happy Friday...I'm Irish!

This week has been slammed with meetings and bosses in town for our quarterly reviews. I slept, I worked;) And now - it's Friday! And I couldn't be more excited for my second St. Patty's day in Chicago. We plan on cooking breakfast with friends, taking a boat ride along the green river and drinking a few pints of Guinness. It's 70 degrees (and I have said that almost everyday on the blog) so the city is surely going to be mayhem. I'm almost 100% Irish, yep, it's true - and this year I feel extremely lucky in love, friendship and family. How about you?

I'm declaring a casual weekend, stretchy jeans, fashionable flats, cozy soft long t-shirts, and a few layers to take on the 30 degree delta that is our daily weather swing. So happy it's nearing the weekend hours. Much needed!! I thought I'd share some beautiful pink peonies today and a rose cardamon cocktail treat. I forgot to say yesterday, that March also makes me think of MIAMI...just 28 days till I am sitting on the beach with NYC gal pals for one of my bestie's bachlorettes. Can't wait.

Happy Friday...

TGIF. I had a doozey of a week - somehow I ended up at the chiropractor 3 days out of 5 and am still going...Acrobatic injury? Crossfit gone wrong? Nope, the likely cause is my 'seated posture' - sitting at my desk at work. I could barely walk when I woke up on Monday and Tuesday. I've accosted an erganomic chair in my office and am icing every night before bed. That's how it goes. The bf was amazing, took care of me - cooked dinners, did dishes...that's why we are having date night out tonight (my treat...shhhhh;). If we don't get trapped in by the snow!!  And tomorrow we are going to breakfast in Wrigleyville (close proximity to the chiro)...I'm craving warm crossaints and a latte. We'll wrap up our weekend festivities with my favorite - a dinner party. We have an amazing rotation going lately with our friends trading off on hosting pot-lucks. It's been a perfect winter weekend activity. Hope you have a great weekend. Thank you for all the sweet comments this week, I love new visitors. xx

By this time in the week I'm truly wiped out, work meetings, work dinners, work travel - the trifecta. Ready for the weekend! Ready to relax, take a leisurely drive with the windows down along the coast, scratch that, it's winter in Chicago, I'll be watching movies by the fireplace, hot cocoa, marshmellows, and the Help - I haven't seen it yet and can't wait. Hooray, it's Friday! I'm excited to report that I have a three day weekend ahead. I have a girls night with a few friends staying in to eat, chat and play. Tomorrow I'm off to Richmond to shoot - ya know, guns! Followed by another girly get together and a dinner party with our friends. LOVE winter house hopping! Have a great weekend. x

I woke up today to our first light dusting of snow. Hooray! I can't believe this week, month and year is just flying by. The closer we get to the holidays the more giddy I am. Not only to see family back east, but to have little vaca with the bf and friends. To get you into the holiday spirit I have added a few songs to my Christmas Playlist {called Cozy Winter Mix}. What could be better than gazing at your Christmas tree, drinking hot chocolate (with marshmellows of course!) and sitting by the fire with your loved ones listening to festive tunes. Fa la la.
