Camouflage Style

Camo style on the blog today. This trend has been hitting the streets since last year, and I love how these ladies are styling it...casual and semi-preppy. The favorite pairings here are definitely a jean jacket or chambray shirt and black heels. I also think slim camo pants work well with chunky sweaters and booties (in any shade), or a little pop of neon. Here are a few camo items I couldn't resist.

All Things Purple

The other day I was browsing inspiration over on Daily Crushes,  my lovely nieces blog. And I spotted this jacket (photo). I can only see a fraction of it, but it reminds of that one lone overused crayon in my crayola box. It was the color 'thistle'. I was immediately coveting this coat and necklace, so obviously I had to hunt for all things on the spectrum of purple, from bright to pastel. Blue Jean Baby...

I have to admit, nothing makes me happier than heading into a season where jeans become my staple again. It may be 'off the charts' warm today for early September, but I already have my eye on a few pairs. Usually this means, a big pile gets donated from years previous. 

Any style, anywhere, I'll even do jean on jean! My two favorite brands, based on how they fit, are J Brand and Paige. Here are a few to kick off fall:

{From Day to Night}

I'm lucky that I get to dress casual most non-meeting days in our office. We're low key over here in Wicker Park. But, having to leap from my desk at 6pm without time to spare for a wardrobe change before evening work events or date night with my husband is a shuffle. Fives Things {Citrus}...

Citrus tones are calling me...orange is my bf's favorite color and I love all shades. While we were out enjoying a lovely walk this weekend we couldn't help but stop into a shop and pick up this pretty orange Jonathan Adler candle - which also smells lovely;) I am also loving this peachy mango print scarf, and I know this tangerine zebra pillow is going to make it's way into our bedroom, in fact, it may already be in the online shopping cart. I'd love to be strutting in this 70 degree spring weather in a topshop shift dress and  can't wait to try this blood orange cupcake recipe.
