Twins
I imagine having a lovely guest room in a summer house someday. Where guests can visit, bunk up and be cozy. I love these few rooms that make twins look good!

Someday Office Space
Happy Monday! Hope you all had a nice weekend. It was crisp in Chicago, it felt like the first of true fall weekend.
So these days my hubby and I basically share office space in our casa. He has a designated room (Bedroom #2) and has worked from home for years, even though many days he is driving through Chicago for meetings. Sometimes if we are both home we'll venture to Starbucks together to have a break from the stuffy apartment, only to be stuck with bad tunes. I would actually much rather have Starbucks charge me for wireless and NOT play awful music, awful loud. But, I can't be picky right, just smart, like remembering to pack my headphones;)
I'm lucky that there are a few digital co-ops in Chicago that I can hop about to - because as I start up this business it is important to be focused, network and my hours seem to bleed into evenings and weekends, so space is very very important. Someday...as this company grows, I would love to have an amazing office space, and decorate it for function, collaboration, comfort and inspiration. I found a few spaces that I'm putting in the 'save it for later' files.

Front Porch
Sometimes I imagine swinging, chatting, sipping lemonade, watering plants and waving at neighbors from a front porch. We are a in a high-rise, however I dream of designing this space to be cozy and welcoming.

{Interior Inspiration: Rustic Blue & White}
I am drawn to casual living spaces that are cozy and rustic in style. My home currently has pops of blue and white accessories, and I just love the idea of bold patterns mixed with neutral pieces like a white couch with piping.

{Outdoor Living: 10 Ways to Do Outdoor Space}
1. Do it with a built in bar and grill. Perfect for cooking and entertaining outdoors.
2. A fire pit is a must-have, add comfy adirondack chairs and cozy blankets, you have a perfect setting for long night time huddles and under the stars.
3. Outdoor dining. You can get the most simple table and chairs for the day to day and when it's time to entertain, dress up the table like a true formal dining space with rug, pillows, tablecloth, lanterns, china, and lovely flowers from the garden.
4. What outdoor space would be complete without hanging lights and lanterns. I love this eclectic porch that is an extension of the inside living space.
5. Simplistic living space - carving out a bench on the deck with cozy cushions, and a coffee table is perfect for lazing.
6. Paint the deck, get mod chairs and add funky bright patterned pillows.
7. Go rustic. This cozy nook built-in is surrounded by greens and includes an oversized wooden table.
8. Fully furnished. No detail is left behind in this seaside space. It looks perfect.
9. Create drama with black & white, and large hanging curtains for a private sitting space.
10. What better napping space then a bed by the lake?

{Small Bedroom Style}
If you are going to cram into a small Manhattan space (I've done that a few times) - then why not deck it out with leopard print, a gallery wall of artistic expression and a touch of glamour. I love everything about Megan Adams apartment on the Upper West Side. In fact, it's worth an entire tour over on Lonny. One trend I spotted over there - Skateboard decks. I need a few for our hallway and am on the hunt. I'm waking up in San Francisco today...in a comfy hotel bed overlooking the Bay. Have a great day. xo

{Master Bedroom}
When I imagined my 'grown up' bedroom I imagined something like this, chandeliers, upholstered ottomans, monogrammed pillows, fresh flowers. While I am definitely in the matching side tables and lamps camp - we are still a few steps away from that finished looking elegance that comes with adding a few glamourous touches to the bedroom. I think this will be one of my spring projects. Dress up the Master Bedroom! {pinterest}

I have the desire to wallpaper something...and what better spot than to incorporate bold patterns on the walls of your entryway?

Home Improvement...
I'm on a mission to find inspiration lately. We have a few projects on the home front that need to kick-off this year.
#1.
#2.
#3.
#7. Picture Wall. I have been wanting to do this in every apartment I've ever lived. We have some great photos but I'm also planning on combing the web for unique prints, black and white photography. I think adding dimension with Vintage letters, and antlers would be fun;)
#8. Patterns. Everything is a bit flat with solids right now - with the exception of my cowhide rug and zebra chair. I think it would be so nice to layer in patters, bold colors and accessorize.
The...if we win the lottery wishlist:
#9. The Kitchen would be amazing with painted cabinets, lighter colored marble, stainless steal appliances. It's a loft style apartment with high ceilings and the kitchen flows into the living room - so the lighter colors would really make it feel larger.
#10. Master Bathroom re-haul. Tile, rain shower faucet, the works!
Here is my Pinterest folder for 'Home Renovation'. More to come on that...

Backyard Fantasies...
I hope you all had a nice weekend:) It was so fun to celebrate St. Patty's in Chicago on such a sunny weekend. My bf made the best breakfast sandwiches for friends at our place this weekend. Then we headed to the burbs yesterday to hang with his family. It was lovely to sit outside in the backyard...since then, I am dreaming about beautiful backyard landscapes with a pool of course.

It was a fun photo shoot back in the fall last year when the Everygirl founders asked me if they could shoot my Chicago apartment. Now it's live and I can hardly believe it, go check out more photos! Thank you ladies for such an amazing keepsake of my Chicago abode. xo
